HARBOR EAST
Repositioning a familiar Baltimore neighborhood as a destination worth exploring.
Harbor East had become one of Baltimore’s most established mixed-use neighborhoods, bringing together restaurants, hotels, residences, offices, boutiques, and waterfront experiences. But its digital presence no longer reflected the energy or sophistication of the destination itself.
The opportunity was to create a more cohesive brand experience that captured the neighborhood’s distinct character, made its breadth easier to navigate, and encouraged visitors to move beyond the places they already knew.

THE WORK
A digital experience built around exploration
The previous website contained extensive information, but the experience was difficult to navigate and didn’t fully communicate the variety of businesses, services, and experiences available throughout the neighborhood.
We restructured the site around three primary ways people experience Harbor East: living, working, and exploring. This simplified the content architecture while giving visitors clearer pathways into dining, shopping, hospitality, residences, offices, wellness, and neighborhood programming.
The redesigned website became both a practical planning tool and a richer expression of the destination.
Content designed around how people actually use the neighborhood
The website needed to support many different users, from tourists planning a weekend to residents looking for nearby services and professionals considering office space.
We created dedicated content pathways for shopping, dining, hotels, residences, offices, fitness, beauty, events, and neighborhood information. Each section combined useful details with more editorial storytelling, helping visitors understand not only what was available, but what spending time in Harbor East could feel like.
